Are these cases for travelling choirs only?

    NO!  Everyone travels some distance, even if it is within your own building. Anyone who owns bells can use these cases to "travel" from one end of the building to the other. You can use Port-a-Bell  ® cases to get  you across the hall or across the country.

What brands of bells will your cases accommodate?

Schulmerich,  Malmark or Whitechapel.

How are these cases better?

   Port-a-Bell ®  cases are stronger, lighter, and protect the bells better than the current  wooden cases. The pull handle and wheels makes them more portable. These cases are from  10% to 40% lighter than their wooden counterparts. The ATA rating allows you to ship on common carriers with no extra packaging.  The wooden cases were not intended for travel, only storage.

Why do they not have cloth lining?

   The glues used to hold the cloth in the current wooden cases outgas and tarnish the bells. The cloth and type of foam used in the wood cases also absorbs moisture.  Port-a-Bell ®  cases use closed cell  hard foam so they resist moisture and impede  tarnishing of your bells.

Why do these cases cost more, and how long will they last?

     Port-a-Bell ®  cases were chosen after several years of research for the right combination  of quality features. These are premium cases on purpose. If you own 4 or 5 octaves of bells, you have invested between $10,000 - 15,000. You need to protect your investment. We could have picked a cheaper quality line of cases,  but they would not hold up to travel and would not protect your bells as well. With minimal  care  Port-a-Bell  ®  cases should last a lifetime.  Cases have a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. Foampacks have a 1 year limited warranty against manufacturers defects. This does not include normal wear and tear. Foampacks can be replaced in the future for a nominal fee.

How quickly can I get a set?

   These are custom made cases and, for now, are made in small quantities. Case sets should be ready to ship in eight to twelve weeks.
